The Autism Center at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is the first multidisciplinary autism center in the Middle East. The Center is based on collaboration between several faculties at the Hebrew University, the Jerusalem Mental Health Center, and affiliated hospitals.
The Autism Center brings together innovative research, clinical services, professional training, and educational programs for professionals and parents in the community. As a leading center in its field, we provide professional training and ongoing consultation to practitioners in the field. This activity is closely integrated with the University’s academic work and curricula, with the goal of training the next generation of clinicians and researchers.
Research at the Center is grounded in direct engagement with the community- an interaction that enriches academic work, advances clinical practice and supports the development of programs and public policy aimed at assisting individuals on the autism spectrum.
Currently, the Center operates within the School of Social Work at the Hebrew University. In the future it will be located in one of the historic Resnick dormitory buildings on the Mount Scopus campus, which will undergo a full renovation to accommodate the Center’s needs.
