The Hebrew University of Jerusalem established the first autism center of its kind in Israel. Officially founded in August 2015, the Center leads the field of autism in Israel and the Middle East through a unique integration of groundbreaking research, advanced professional training, and clinical services, driven by a deep commitment to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
The core activities of the Center include:
- Professional Training and Certification: We offer comprehensive training programs for professionals, both as individuals and as established professional teams. The Center specializes in teaching in-depth diagnostic processes while providing practical tools based on the most up-to-date approaches in the field.
- Academic and Research Enrichment: The Center serves as a hub for knowledge exchange through ongoing research seminars, enrichment lectures, study days, and professional conferences that bring together researchers, clinicians, and the broader community.
- Advancing Applied Knowledge: Beyond formal instruction, the Center works to make the latest research accessible and translate it into clinical practice in the field, with the goal of improving quality of life and the services provided to individuals on the autism spectrum.
